Lean Healthy Body of Cave Men
The so-called cave man diets are pretty much on track for being good guides for healthy eating. These “Paleo” plans are similar to the diets I promote for body building because they help you get lean. Similar to dietary programs competitors use, these diets leave out unnatural and processed foods to favor lean meat, vegetables, and nuts. Eliminating foods with high caloric density will speed the process of eliminating fat.
Natural lean meat together with nuts and vegetables will always add up to a lean body. Do I have to mention that cave men never drank Cokes or ate at McDonald’s?
The idea behind the cave man diet is to cater to our natural genetic predisposition. A lot of the health problems we have now were unheard of back in the caves.
This is because people had to eat natural food.
If we eat like our ancestors, we are sure to be healthier and less obese. All these things we have now to make people fat like frozen dinners, corn syrup, white sugar, chemicals, processed oils, and preservatives are at the root of our obesity epidemic.
The only reservation I have with cave man diets is that I don’t think it’s necessary to remove all starch and grain.
As long as the starches and grains are naturally produced, I’m OK. In fact athletes who need to expend loads of energy need starch carbs and grains from natural sources in order to be competitive. Read the rest of this entry »

Thus, it should be taken every day so that you obtain adequate quantity of this vitamin to stay healthy. Consuming foods high in vitamin C is a certainly the perfect way to fulfill it.
Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruits are great sources of vitamin C. You can also find vitamin C in fresh vegetables like tomatoes, cabbage, asparagus, and green leafy vegetables.
As a substitute, you can also take supplements to complete vitamin C requirement in your body. Natural vitamin C supplements are usually made of rosehips or citrus fruits. These supplements are usually available in tablets or capsules, making it easier for you to acquire sufficient amount of vitamin C; that’s if you don’t have enough time to eat those fresh foods.
